Bijdendijk is importing their coffee from different origins to the European ports such as Antwerpen and Rotterdam. The coffee is stored in warehouses in Antwerpen and Middelburg. Most of the coffee on stock is for deliveries to our customers within Europe but at customer preference, Bijdendijk is also shipping directly from origin to customers all over the world.

Most of our coffee on stock is stored in a warehouse in Middelburg. From this warehouse we are supplying our customers with full truck of mixed coffees but it is also possible for our customer to pick up a pallet with different coffees or just one bag of coffee. From our warehouse we are re-exporting containers with mixed coffees to customers within or outside of Europe. The Bijdendijk team is very flexible and open to any of your enquiries.

HOW WE WORK

1. The coffee is planted and harvested. The coffee is prepared for export by the farmer, the cooperative or the exporter.
2. Bijdendijk negotiates a price with the farmer, cooperative or exporter and buys the coffee. The seller sends an approved sample to Bijdendijk.
3. Bijdendijk receives the sample and checks whether it meets the requirements in terms of aspect, smell and taste by cupping the coffee and assessing it for defects in accordance with the international guidelines for coffee.
4. After the sample has been approved, the coffee is transported to the harbor by the seller, where the coffee is taken to Europe by boat.
5. After arrival in Europe, the coffee is stored at a warehouse in Antwerp, Rotterdam or Middelburg.
6. As soon as the coffee has been stored at the warehouse, Bijdendijk receives a sample of the arrived batch of coffee. This sample is assessed for quality. When the sample is approved, the coffee is ready to be sold to our customers.
7. After conclusion of the sales contract between Bijdendijk and the customer, the order is prepared in the warehouse.
8. Bijdendijk contacts the customer to report the status of the order. The coffee is ready to be picked up by the customer.
